Hybrid Eugene: First Page Critiques
January 24 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Willamette Writers Eugene Presents First Page Critiques
The first page of your story is vital. It must capture your reader’s attention–whether that’s a prospective agent, editor, or book buyer. Those first few lines, sentences and paragraphs do some heavy lifting. Not only do they have to be engaging, but they also need to set the tone, setting, and page while introducing key characters and offering a taste of your writing style. They tell a reader if they want to continue reading.
Learn all about how to craft the first pages with the Eugene chapter of Willamette Writers on Tuesday, Jan 24 from 6-7:45 pm in partnership with the Eugene Public Library.
Submit your first pages ahead of time through this Google form – https://forms.gle/vEqVCd45kei2LFvPA – and receive a roundtable critique at this interactive presentation where everyone gets involved.
This event is free and open to the public, available in-person at Eugene Public Library, Tykeson Bascom room, 100 W 10th Ave, and online. When: Jan 24, 2023, 06:00 PM Pacific Time (US and Canada)
