The Southern Oregon Willamette Writers will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17th in the Ben Bones room of the Josephine Community Library in Grants Pass. Our speaker, Teresa Stover, will discuss Writing for Hire vs. Writing for Heart. Working as a writer-for-hire can enhance (and detract from) your creative writing. In this workshop, you’ll gain an overview of technical writing as one example of making a living with words while also propelling your journey as a writer of stories and creative nonfiction. Please arrive promptly as the presentation will begin at 1:15 p.m.

About Teresa Stover

Teresa Stover, owner of Stover Writing Services, has done technical writing for technology, manufacturing, educational, and nonprofit organizations. Through Microsoft Press, O’Reilly Media, John Wiley & Sons, and others, she has published 15 nonfiction books about computer hardware as well as productivity and project management software. She makes time to write short fiction and is working on the second draft of her novel set in the 1980s in Silicon Valley.
