The Portland Chapter of Willamette Writers invites you to a special event in honor of Women’s History Month. Join us on March 5 at 7 PM (doors open at 6:45 PM) for a panel on Women in Publishing, featuring bookseller and author Holly Lorincz; book coach and editor Charlotte Chipperfield; and literary agent CoCo Freeman. The panel will be moderated by publisher and author, Frances Lu-Pai Ippolito.

 

About the Speakers

Charlotte Chipperfield

Charlotte guides and supports authors on their creative and personal journeys through her company Her Narrative.  With a passion for empowering female authors to enhance both their writing skills and personal growth, Charlotte offers developmental editing and book coaching services. A recognized public speaker and writing judge, Charlotte has graced the stages of prestigious events, including the American Family Insurance Dream Bank and the Women’s Fiction Writers Association where Charlotte lends her expertise to help recognize and uplift emerging talents in the literary world. In addition to guiding others, Charlotte is also on their authorial journey, actively crafting her debut women’s fiction novel.

Holly Lörincz

Holly Lorincz, the proud owner of Cloud & Leaf Bookstore in Manzanita, Oregon, also owns Lorincz Literary Services and serves the industry as a professional editor and collaborative/ghostwriter with fourteen published works, including Crown Heights and The Invisible Machine and Smart Mouth: A Novel. She works closely with a myriad of publishing houses and literary agents.

CoCo Freeman

CoCo Freeman is a graduate of Bard College with a B.A. in Written Arts. Before joining Linda Chester, CoCo worked for Tom Yoon Productions, developing projects and editing existing material. She is looking for smart adult commercial fiction, mysteries, thrillers, historical fiction, young adult, middle grade, and select picture books.

Frances Lu-Pai Ippolito (moderator)

Frances Lu-Pai Ippolito is a writer, judge, and mother. When she’s not spending time with her family outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, she’s crafting short stories in horror, sci-fi, fantasy, or whatever genre-bending she can get away with. Her stories have appeared in Nailed Magazine, Buckman Journal’s Issue 006, and will be included in upcoming anthologies. Her work was also featured in the Ooligan Press Writers of Color Showcase 2020 in Portland, Oregon.

Willamette Writers meetings are free and open to all writers, 18 and up. Guests are welcome to make a donation at https://willamettewriters.org/donations/ to help support the cost of the meetings.
