About Joey Plager

Our very special guest for this Happy Hour is Joey Plager…one of the premiere producers of Hallmark Christmas (and Hannukah) movies. Joey will talk about finding the best material, and what goes into packaging and selling it to the networks, as well as discussing how he works with the writers and director to shape the finished product. Joey has been both an award-winning producer and a senior executive with such entertainment companies as eOne, Hearst, Lifetime, and Showtime, giving him over thirty years of experience working with and for major international studios and networks. His insight into the perspectives of both buyer and seller makes him the rare media player who can identify and connect opportunities in both traditional and emerging marketplaces. To date, Joey has produced forty TV movies for Hallmark, Discovery, Lifetime, and VH1 and is actively packaging intellectual properties with talent and optioning and developing books and formats for feature films and television series.
