Deni Starr will be signing books at booth 64 at the Portland Book Festival on November 9th. Deni Starr is a retired criminal defense lawyer and investigator with a background in forensic sciences and martial arts. A native Portlander, she has four books out in her “boxer” series and a stand alone mystery, “Murder by the Sea coming out soon from Launchpointe Press.

Sean O’Conner, retired boxer, and Cindy Matasar, a criminal investigator with the public defender’s office are asked to look into a new boxing gym in Portland.They team up to expose the gym as part of a fraudulent social service program for early released convicted felons and solve several murders in the process while becoming good friends.
