Bob Ferguson will be signing books at booth 64 at the Portland Book Festival on November 9th. My gait has shifted to accommodate new joints and life now revolves around the grand-kids, the crazy game of Pickleball, live music, and writing endeavors. Many people like to travel. I enjoy the journey of seeing old friends, meeting new people, keeping Portland Weird, and learning new things that keep my gray cells, gray. Always remember that without your witness, your story disappears so I encourage all to do as I have done, astound your kids and write your own book. It has become my mission to help others preserve their legacy at my workshop, “Memoir University.”
“Some Days Chicken, Some Days Feathers” begins with my earliest recollections of picking beans in Oregon, High school shenanigans in Eugene, playing football at Linfield College, and ends as I am discharged from the Marine Corps due to burns over 70% of my body while fighting in Vietnam.
