Melissa Hart, UO Journalism teacher and author of the new memoir, Wild Within: How Rescuing Owls Inspired a Family (Lyons, 2914) will present a workshop on how to write and sell short- and book-length memoir at Barnes and Noble in Eugene, this Sunday from 3-5 PM. This is the entertaining and inspiring workshop that Hart usually teaches at expensive writing conferences, offered for free one time only. In a supportive environment, learn how to identify memoir topics that get editors’ attention, and how to structure them into short essays or entire books which you can then pitch professionally to editors. ‘
