This time the theme is in celebration of Beverly Cleary’s birthday on April 12th. Submit your Beverly Cleary inspired story to our Six Word Story Contest. The top twelve winners will be announced at the Portland member meeting on April 1st at The Old Church. We’ll be tweeting one winner per day from April 1st – 12th. The Grand Prize winner will receive a signed copy of her memoir and a box set of her Ramona Quimby books.

Rules and Guidelines:

Write a six word story. Since this is in celebration of Beverly Cleary’s birthday, we’re expecting something to do with Henry Huggins, Beezus, Ramona, Ribsy, Klickitat Street, Ralph the mouse…

$5 per entry, or $20 for 5 entries.

In your submission, include your story, your name, email address (or a good phone number to reach you at), and Twitter name (if you have one).

Judging done by the Willamette Writers Board.

All entries will be anonymous when judged.

Board members are not eligible, but friends and family of board members are.

Submissions must be paid for and to the Willamette Writers Office by March 21, 2014 at midnight.
