Member News: Release of “The Home” by L. Wade Powers

L. Wade Powers announces the release of his novel, The Home.

The novel is set in the 1950s about a children’s institution (foster kids, orphans, kids of working parents). Aimed at a “new adult” and older audience, it relates the trials of preteens and young teens to emerging sexuality, dormitory violence and social relationships, but it also explores the humor, angst, and triumphs of bonding, belonging, and adapting.

The 440-page book was released by Amazon on the 28th of September and will be available at the Ashland Literary Festival on the 28th of October for signing. It is the author’s first novel.
