Eugene author Larry Bradley announced the release of Trials—Two cousins, cancer, and the doctors who fought to save their lives.
In this narrative nonfiction, Bradley follows the personal journal of two sisters, each of whom had a son diagnosed with leukemia twenty years apart. The story of the two boys tracks perhaps the most miraculous medical story of the twentieth century, finding a cure for childhood leukemia. The story is brought to life through the interviews more than one hundred doctors, nurses, and parents of children with cancer.
A powerful read.
