Help us celebrate the release of Bikes Not Rockets and True Trans Bike Rebel on November 6! Bikes Not Rockets (https://microcosmpublishing.com/catalog/books/8527) is an anthology of feminist bicycling science fiction, the fifth volume of the Bikes in Space Series. True Trans Bike Rebel (https://microcosmpublishing.com/catalog/zines/9712) is a collection of essays from trans and nonbinary cyclists from around the world and is the fifteenth issue of Taking the Lane.
Both contain moving stories that celebrate diversity and our differences, while finding ways we can all connect with one another. Bikes not Rockets is edited by Elly Blue and True Trans Bike Rebel is edited by Lydia Rogue.
To celebrate the release of both the book and zine, we’ll be hosting a reading at the Central Branch of the Multnomah County Library (SW 10th Ave 801, Portland, Oregon 97205) starting at 6:30 p.m.
Come meet the contributors, hear them speak, and get your book and zine signed! The venue is wheelchair accessible and gender-neutral bathrooms are available. There will be a less formal after party nearby.
