Willamette Writers member Jennifer Sherman Roberts’ debut novel, The Village Healer’s Book of Cures (Lake Union), has been named an Editor’s Choice by the Historical Novel Society.
Set in 17th-century England, the novel follows a female healer who enflames the fury of a witchfinder–who sees not healing but the devil in her work.
