Meet Our New Communications and Marketing Manager

We are excited to introduce Jack Wang as the newest addition to the Willamette Writers staff. As our new Communications and Marketing Manager, Jack brings a wealth of experience in digital marketing to our organization. He is poised to enhance our outreach efforts and strengthen our connection with our writing communities.

A Growing Team

This new position was created with grant support from the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust and will help Willamette Writers continue to increase our impact. Special thanks to the Development Team for their leadership and guidance in developing this role!

“We are so excited to work with Jack,” says Executive Director Kate Ristau. “His passion and expertise will help us reach our community and share our stories in brand-new ways. Welcome, Jack!”

About Jack

Hailing from the Twin Cities, Jack came to Oregon in 2014 to complete a B.A. in English Literature at Lewis & Clark College.

Prior to joining Willamette Writers, Jack worked as a Content Strategist and self-published his first novel.

Jack is “thrilled to be joining such a wonderful and rich community” and is “looking forward to meeting everyone and supporting their work.”

When he isn’t writing or reading, Jack enjoys playing music and rugby. He recently wrapped up the spring season with Portland Lumberjacks RFC, culminating in a trip to Rome to compete in the Bingham Cup.

Jack is looking forward to a packed summer featuring the Willamette Writers Conference, camping trips, and a forthcoming creative nonfiction short in the Buckman Journal.
