All About Editors with Joe Hall, JH Editing

Join us in person and online at the Josephine County Library, Grants Pass Branch, January 20, 2024, 1-2:30 PM for freelance editor Joe Hall’s presentation and discussion on how to determine which type of editor a writer might need for their recently finished manuscript. We’ll be discussing the different types of publishing along with the markets they cater to, the different types of editors, and how to parse through feedback to figure out which editorial notes work for your writing style and manuscript. The lecture will run for about half an hour with room for open Q&A at the end.

About Joe Hall

Joseph Hall graduated from Point Park University in Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Broadcast Communications. Since that time, he has worked non-stop in the field of editing and publication. In 2017, Joseph became an editor for the Algonkian Author Salon. Months later, he joined the team at Del Sol Press where he works as a Developmental Editor and also helps market novels.

Today, Joseph still works for Del Sol Press and Algonkian but has also networked further. He works with several literary agents and small publishers and is also a developmental editor for the Writer’s Digest Second Draft program. He started J.H. Editing as a way for him to work in the genres he truly excels at, and also provide a more personable connection with his clients.

As a writer, Joseph and his agent are currently on submission with his debut novel, STEELHOUND, and he has several more fantasy works on the shelf and in the pipeline.
