Please join us at the next FilmLab Screenwriter’s Happy Hour on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, PST. The Zoom Room opens at 5PM. The registration link is below.

Screenwriter, stand-up comedian and author David Misch will join us to share comedy film clips that he’ll unpack from a screenwriting point of view. Q&A will round out what is certain to be a fun and informative hour.

A little bit about David — he has written, created and/or produced programs for all the major networks and many of the major (and minor) cable outlets, including the multiple-Emmy-nominated “Mork and Mindy” and the Emmy-winning “Saturday Night Live.” David’s taught his own comedy courses at USC and UCLA, and lectured at the Smithsonian Institute, Oxford University, Austin Film Festival, Second City (Chicago), the Groundlings (L.A.), the Actors Studio, Yale, Sony Pictures and Walt Disney Studios, among many others. As an author his writing includes A Beginner’s Guide To Corruption and Funny: The Book, and publication in The American Bystander and on the web in HuffPost, Vulture and National Lampoon.
