Willamette Writers Vancouver Presents
Poetry with Armin Tolentino
Poetry is fraught with all the baggage one might expect after a solid 3000-year run. During times of great crisis, people have depended on and expected solace from poetry. Yet, just as often you hear poetry described as intimidating, confusing, academic, or boring. How do we transform confusion into wonder? Boredom into possibility? Join Armin Tolentino at your Vancouver Chapter meeting to explore these questions. We’ll examine the techniques and architecture of poems to better understand how they work and try out writing exercises to unlock the power of this ancient yet thoroughly modern art form.
This ZOOM ONLY meeting will take place on May 15, 2023, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM (Doors open 6:15PM). Register at this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUtcuytrjgvHdViNKncOlMKWDfs7dEC1H94
