Join Willamette Writers on the River/Corvallis and the Coast Chapters for our Spring Open Mic!

Does the audience sigh? Do they gasp? Do they laugh outright? Does the page read smoothly for you? In other words, does your writing bring the audience into your experience successfully? Read for applause and explore the effectiveness of your creation. Or join us to listen and enjoy.

All genres are welcome, but readings should be suitable for mixed audiences. Sign-ups to read begin at 6:30 and will be first come, first served. Each person has 5 minutes (700 – 800 words for prose) which includes any set-up or side conversations with the audience. The number of readers will be limited to fit the time.

About your Chapters

Willamette Writers meetings are open to all writers, 18 and up. Young writers are encouraged to join our Young Willamette Writers meetings. Guests are welcome to make a donation to help support the cost of the meeting (we believe in paying our speakers for their time and skills). This meeting is run by volunteers. We look forward to seeing you there!
