Share Your Story / Open Mic Night at the Vancouver Chapter

Monday, April 8, 6:30-7:45 (doors open at 6:15 PM) @ the Three Creeks Library (800-C NE Tenney Road, Vancouver, WA 98685).

The Vancouver Chapter welcomes you to join us in person or online to share an excerpt from a work-in-progress and encourage other writers by listening to theirs! 

The mic is open to YOU, no matter where in the process your project may be, and whether you’re a new or seasoned writer. Sign up to read when the doors open at 6:15. The mic is open for all genres (appropriate for a mixed audience) and formats of writing, and limited to 5 minutes, about 750 words. Listeners will provide positive feedback and at the end of the night, vote on their favorite excerpt for a “People’s Choice Award.” 

There will also be an opportunity to compete against other writers in our infamous “First Line Contest” (if time allows), with a Dutch Bros gift card on the line!

As always, there’s fresh coffee, tea, and cookies for those joining us at Three Creeks Library.
