The Southern Oregon Willamette Writers will meet from 1:00 – 2:30 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in the Ben Bones Room at the Josephine Community Library located at 200 NW C Street in Grants Pass. Doors open at 1:00 PM and our speaker Shelly King Schuur will begin her presentation “Writing Scenes that Pop!” at 1:30 PM. We’ve all had those scenes that were important in our story but seemed lifeless on the page. How can we add a spark to a scene that keeps the reader aching for the next page? In this session, we will engage in several group exercises that will show you how to add zest to those scenes you need to pop off the page and into your readers’ hearts. This hybrid meeting will also be available for those who would like to attend remotely via Zoom.
