Willamette Writers on the River Corvallis Presents

Open Mic Night!

Does the audience sigh? Do they gasp? Do they laugh outright? Does the page read smoothly for you? In other words, does your writing bring the audience into your experience successfully? Read for applause and explore the effectiveness of your creation. Or join us to listen and enjoy. The event is free and open to all.

The meeting will be Monday, September 25, 2023, in the Oak Room at the Corvallis Community Center, 2601 NW Tyler Ave. There will not be a virtual link. Doors open at 6:15 PM. The meeting begins at 6:30. Masks are encouraged.

Sign up to read at the door. All genres are welcome but readings should be suitable for mixed audiences. Each reader has seven minutes which includes any set-up or side conversations with the audience. The number of readers will be limited to fit the time.

About your chapter meetings

Willamette Writers meetings are open to all writers, 18 and up. Guests are welcome to make a donation to help support the cost of the meeting (we believe in paying our speakers for their time and skills). This meeting is run by volunteers. We look forward to seeing you there!
