Benefit for the Oregon Poetry Association (OPA), Sept. 24

Barnes & Noble, Eugene, Oregon, presents a Student Poetry Open Mic and double book launch for local Eugene poets C. Steven Blue & Laura LeHew. The Sept. 24 event benefits the 2014 Oregon Student Poetry Writing Contest, sponsored by the Oregon Poetry Association.

  • When: Tuesday, September 24, 6-8 p.m.
  • 6-7 p.m., A student poetry open mic. Sign up at the door starting at 6 p.m., for 3-minute time slots. Read poetry! Bring your parents! Buy books and other stuff to support students!
  • 7-7:30 p.m., Laura LeHew book launch reading for her new titles, Willingly Would I Burn and the poetry anthology Turn
  • 7:30-8 p.m., C. Steven Blue book launch reading/performance for his new titles, S.O.S. ~ Songs Of Sobriety ~ A Personal Journey Of Recovery and Black Tights

Book signing will follow.
