Author Cohort FAQ
What is a cohort?
A cohort is a small group working together with a focused purpose. In this case, it’s a group of authors and writers working toward meeting a goal in a limited time-frame.
What is a write-in?
A write-in is when authors get together to work on their projects side-by-side. Our write-ins are on Zoom or in-person. In most cases, we will follow Eric Witchey’s Parallel Play model of writing for 45 minutes, then chatting for 15 minutes, then writing for 45 minutes again.
Should I join the cohort?
It’s up to you! The cohort will be great if you have the time to dedicate to your goals during the month of November. You do not have to be drafting a new book, but you do have to be open to working hard and getting lots of support.
