Monday, February 26, 2018 from 6:30–8:30 PM
First Presbyterian Church, Allison Room, Corvallis, Oregon
(Use 9th St. parking lot entrance.)

Do you have an idea for a picture book? Maybe even more than an idea and you’re wondering what to do with it? In this interactive workshop you will learn about the booming children’s book publishing industry, how to work your idea into a submission-ready story, and how to go about submitting your story to publishers. Wherever you are in your journey of writing or illustrating for children, come learn the process with someone who learned from the ground up.

Rob Broder is the publisher and creative director at Ripple Grove Press, an independent, family-owned picture-book publishing company that he started with his wife. Since beginning to build his skills and experience in publishing, he has read hundreds of picture books and thousands of submissions. He has a passion for well-told and beautifully illustrated picture books. Besides publishing books, he writes, hikes, and plays ukulele.
