Query Cohort

Ready to query? Join the Query Cohort.

You’ve written the book. Now it’s time to get it into the hands of agents.

The Willamette Writers Query Cohort is a month-long, supportive group for writers who are preparing to query a novel, memoir, or other work.

Throughout October, you’ll have a regular group of writers to keep you moving, practical workshops to strengthen your materials, personalized feedback on your query, and opportunities to get feedback from literary agents.

Choose the level of support that works best for you:

Query Cohort – $100 sliding scale

Our Query Cohort gives you the structure, community, and feedback you need to get ready to query. You can register for weekly Tuesday or Wednesday meetings, as well as:

  • Workshops focused on querying and publication
  • Peer critiques and feedback
  • Query letter reviews
  • Opportunities to get feedback from literary agents
  • A supportive cohort of writers who are at the same stage

Sliding-scale pricing gives you a few price options based on what works best for your own budget. The full price of $100 covers the cost of the program, and choosing full price helps Willamette Writers continue offering accessible programming. If $100 isn’t the right fit for you, the $90 or $70 options are there to make the program more accessible.

Query Cohort Intensive – $500

Want more individual support as you get ready to query? The Intensive includes everything in the regular Query Cohort, plus additional one-on-one time and personalized feedback to help you feel confident about your work and your next steps.

Only 10 Intensive spots are available. Register here for:

  • Everything included in the regular Query Cohort
  • A 60-minute one-on-one session to talk through your book, query, and goals
  • A detailed review of your query letter and first fifteen pages.
  • Two rounds of personalized feedback, so you have a chance to revise and get feedback again
