About your Chapter
The Southern Oregon Chapter of Willamette Writers is an open, caring, and supportive community of writers that meets at the Central Point Library in Central Point (116 South 3rd St, Central Point). Our meetings are free and open to the public. We invite authors and industry professionals to speak on writing topics, and we share our work at open mics and critiques. Anyone is welcome to join our community to develop their craft and expand their writing careers.
The Southern Oregon Chapter is run by Libby Gill.
Chapter Chair
Libby Gill is a former television executive who headed communications at Sony, Universal and Turner Broadcasting. The award-winning author of six nonfiction books, Libby’s debut romcom, MALIBU SUMMER, was published by Penguin Random House in May, 2024.
In addition to being a novelist, Libby is a leadership expert and internationally known speaker. She has delivered keynotes on four continents and in 46 US states. Libby has appeared on the CBS Early Show, CNN, NPR, the Today Show and in Good Housekeeping, the New York Times, O Magazine, Time Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal.
