Hillsboro Chapter Presents: Playing with Grammar with Vinnie Kinsella
As writers, we often let the fear of being grammatically incorrect hold too much power over us. But grammar is meant to aid us, not control us. Join us on Tuesday, June 10th at 6:30 at the Hillsboro Brookwood Library for a workshop led by Vinnie Kinsella. This workshop invites participants to rethink their relationship with grammar. We’ll examine how intentional grammar choices, including the choice to write ungrammatically, can elevate our writing. We’ll also examine the difference between grammar and style, and how separating the two lessens our fear of being incorrect. Examples will be given. Rules will be challenged. And in the end, participants will know how to put grammar in its place.
