It’s All About the Scenes

Within the writing conversation, the art of crafting effective scenes receives too little airtime. Scene development is a core competency that must be mastered to create great stories. Scenes are where craft meets art in the moment of creation and should be built within context to the macro vision of your story. In this workshop, Larry Brooks will touch on scene categories and function; how to enter, navigate, and transition in and out of scenes; and how to think about each scene in macro context. You’ll leave with an understanding of how to step up your scene-writing game, regardless of your story development process or ability level on the fiction learning curve (which will gain a notch or two after this course).
