Katherine Harrison

Katherine Harrison is a senior editor at Knopf Books for Young Readers, where she’s worked for over ten years, editing books for kids of all ages, toddler to teen. Her list includes bestsellers like Liesl Shurtliff’s Rump and Dave Eggers’s The Lifters, award winners like Laura Buzo’s Love and Other Perishable Items and Ariel Kaplan’s We Regret to Inform You, and books that are timelessly goofy like Jess Keating’s Pink Is for Blobfish. While she edits a bit of everything, she’s especially on the lookout for voice-driven middle grade fiction, and nonfiction with a memorable hook. And as Oregon native, she’s also drawn to Pacific Northwest stories in which setting plays a prominent role (ala Sometimes a Great Notion). You can follow her on Twitter @Kidlitkat.
