Louise Barden’s poetry chapbook “What Hummingbirds Do,” a semifinalist in the New Women’s Voices competition, is now on sale at Finishing Line Press).
Calyx Senior Editor has said that with these poems “rich in the details of nature and memory, she will guide you gently back to awe, to wonder, to the small moments that make up a life.” Barden, whose “Tea Leaves” won the Harperprints Chapbook Contest and who has published in numerous journals nationwide including “Timberline Review” and “Cathexis NW,” moved to Corvallis in 2017. She is still learning to love the rain.
