“From Invention to Published Copy” with Gina Ochsner

Award-winning fiction writer Gina Ochsner will present a free workshop at the Sunday, Sept. 18 meeting of Willamette Writers Coast Branch. The free workshop will be held at 2 p.m. in the McEntee Room of the Newport Public Library.

From Invention to Published Copy: Seeing a Story Through from Beginning to End

Ochsner will talk about the writing process from getting the idea through revision and publication. Attendees are encouraged to bring in their own work to discuss.

About Our Speaker – Gina Ochsner

Ochsner is the author of the short story collection The Necessary Grace to Fall, which was selected for the Flannery O’Connor Award, and the collection People I Wanted to Be. Both books received the Oregon Book Award. Her latest book, The Hidden Letters of Velta B, was released by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in July 2016.
