“On Being a Pantser” with Ann Simas
October 6, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm$10
On Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Tsunami Books in Eugene, Willamette Writers hosts Ann Simas, who will present “On Being a Pantser” plus Writing Group Speed Dating. Join us!
Writing Is a Journey, Not a Destination
Discovery writing can lead to surprising and satisfying stories, but it’s helpful to have a few strategies in place to identify pot-holes and wrong-turns from the worth-while side-trips. Ann Simas will give us the road map for successful writing without an outline.
OCTOBER IS WRITING GROUP SPEED-DATING!
Looking for a writing group? Need more writers for an existing group? Join us for this fast-paced match-up! We’ll make matches from 6:30 – 7:00 before the meeting starts.
About Our Speaker – Ann Simas
Ann Simas lives in Oregon, but she is a Colorado girl at heart, having grown up in the Rocky Mountains. An avid word-lover since childhood, she penned her first fiction “book” in high school. She particularly likes to write a mix of thriller/suspense/mystery with a love story and paranormal elements. She is a three-time RWA Golden Heart Finalist and currently has twelve books in publication, as well as several short stories.
An award-winning watercolorist and a budding photographer, Ann also enjoys needlework and gardening in her spare time. She is her family’s “genealogist” and has been blessed with the opportunity to conduct first-hand research in Italy for both her writing and her family tree. Some of her Italy photos are displayed on her home page at annsimas.com. The genealogy research from century’s old documents, written in Italian, has been a supreme but gratifying and exciting challenge for her.
