On Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Tsunami Books in Eugene, Willamette Writers hosts editor Kathleen Kerr for a talk about Publishing. Join us!
500 Words: The Secret to Getting Your Words on the Page
Interested in publishing and wondering how to get started? Join Kathleen Kerr, senior editor at Harvest House Publishers, for a conversation about the nuts and bolts of the writing life and the publishing industry. We’ll discuss the differences between traditional and self-publishing, the how-to of finding an agent, the craft of self-editing, and the 500-word secret to getting your words on the page.
Kathleen Kerr has worked with books all her life—first as a reader, then in a bookstore, and for the past ten years in the publishing industry. A senior editor with Harvest House Publishers and the author of several books, Kathleen has a passion for finding new voices and encouraging authors to develop their craft. When not writing, shaping manuscripts, or scrawling ideas on the backs of grocery lists, she enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two daughters.
