The Practice of Poetry: A Workshop for Young Writers
February 1 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
At the Young Willamette Writers February 1 meeting, veteran poet, author, and instructor Sage Cohen will lead an interactive workshop offering a series of prompts to spark new poems and help explore a variety of craft considerations. Participants will leave with 3-4 poem starts they can continue developing on their own. Come with your favorite writing tools ready to jump in and create together!
As always, our meetings are free and open to all students ages 13-18. Join us on the first Saturday of the month from September to June at the Bridgeport Barnes & Noble store from 1:00-2:30. Membership is encouraged, with benefits such as inclusion in the YWW yearly journal, and a day of specialty programming at the Willamette Writers Conference.
