On Wednesday, January 17th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. (talk begins at 7 p.m.), Jennie Komp will present to our chapter at the Salem Public Library (Anderson Room B), 585 Liberty St SE.

“Preparing For, And Nurturing, A Loyal Fan-Base”

Published writers, and those still wrestling with their stories, will want to attend this snapshot of the steps successful authors use to cultivate those first thousand fans who will read anything you give them. It’s so much more fun than you think! Come as you are or get even more out of this by coming with a list of the most tangible parts of your stories (symbols, maps, clothing descriptions, notable trinkets, or anything else that’s memorable). You’ll see current, live examples and we will map out a plan for you can implement immediately!

About Jennie Komp

Jennie Komp has been taking apart stories, to see what makes them connect with people, for over 20 years. Her extensive background in live theater productions and new start ups finally came together at her first writing conference, where she saw the industry disconnect between authors and their fans. Myth Machine is the next evolution of a publishing concept she’s been developing for the past 4 years. Surpassing 1 million Facebook fans, in less than a year, with her last company was the final key. As a development editor and writer in her own right, Jennie bridges that elusive gap between art and business, leading the Myth Machine team through every stage of growth. Connecting fans to more of what they love, bringing that community together with fresh stories in the digital realm as well as our daily life, is what she lives for.
