Portland: First Page Critique Session

April 27, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

On Thursday, April 27, from 6-8 p.m., USA Today bestselling author Linda Needham and literary agent Rachel Letofsky will be live-critiquing manuscript first pages at the Lombard Pub.

Fourteen slots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up here. The event is free and open to all writers.

This event previews two of our over 50 faculty members at our 2017 Willamette Writers Conference. Come to have your own work critiqued, or to see what a professional critique looks like, or just to meetup with fellow Portland-area writers.

The evening is filled with literary fun and fantastic critiques. Join bestselling author and Willamette Writers Conference regular Julie A. Fast who will MC the event.

I’m looking forward to MCing this event. I started out as a conference volunteer in 2002 and have never looked back. It is the highlight of my summer and hopefully you will be there as well.  Thursday’s event is a great place to start. Maybe you have a novel you want to submit to the conference this year? Maybe you want to break into the publishing industry, but aren’t sure what to do first? Join us and learn what agents and publishers want from your work all in a live and vibrant community setting.  Networking is a large part of getting your project to the professionals

who can help you reach your dreams. You can meet the people who run the conference and find out more about this year’s classes and presentations. We have had fun over the years! Please join us and say hello.
