Open Mic for Members
March 8 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
It’s time to step up to the plate! This month, members of the Southern or Eugene Chapter of Willamette Writers can prepare a five-minute monologue, essay, short story, or excerpt from a longer work. Time yourself ahead of time to make sure it’s five minutes or less, because moderators will be muting those readers that go over. We want to hear from as many members as we can!
The Zoom room will open at 6:30 p.m. for networking and socializing, as usual. During the half-hour before the meeting starts, we’ll be collecting names of those that want to read, in the order that they appear in the chat box (along with the title of your piece, and whether it is part of something larger). We’ll introduce you, say the title for you, and unmute you. And then you’re up! We’ll mute you after the five minutes is up, so that we can introduce the next reader in a timely fashion. We can’t wait to hear what you bring us!
Click the registration link below, enter your name and email address, and you will receive the meeting link immediately. You will also be able to add the meeting to your calendar.
