Do you have a manuscript or short story that you’d like to turn into a script? October’s Screenwriters Happy Hour is delighted to host screenwriter, Randall Jahnson, who will share his experience adapting existing material for the screen.
Randall is a graduate of the UCLA Film School and has worked with filmmaking luminaries such as Steven Spielberg, Penelope Spheres, Spike Lee, Michael Mann, Brad Pitt, and the late Jonathan Demme.
His credits include the punk rock Western Dudes, The Doors, The Mask Of Zorro and episodes of the HBO classic, Tales From The Crypt. He penned two episodes of S.O.Z: Soldados o Zombies, a Spanish-language sci-fi horror series from Amazon Studios plus an original movie, A Nashville Legacy, for the Hallmark Channel.
His thriller script The Fire Tree, adapted from the memoir You Know Your Way Home by psychic Suzanne Jauchius, is currently under option with LA-based Rush Hour Productions, with whom he is also attached to direct Corkscrew, a Neo-noir mystery written by Portland’s Peter Ray Field.
Please join us on Wednesday, October 9 at 5:00 PM PST for an hour focused on adaptation.
