Linda Atwell “Writing About Challenging Characters”
April 7, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
Saturday, April 7, 2018
Central Point City Hall Council Chambers, 140 S. Third Street, Central
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Free to members, $10 for visitors
What are “challenging characters”? Does it make a difference if the author is writing fiction or non-fiction? What about telling the truth or being politically correct? Learn the answers to these questions and more in Linda Atwell’s morning presentation.
1:30 – 3:30 p.m. $25 for members, $30 for guests ($35 all day)
In the afternoon, participants will have a chance to share their writing, generated from prompts. Then, the group will discuss what was learned from each reader. It’s a great opportunity to get some practice writing challenging characters, and to get immediate feedback.
