We’re so glad to be back!

Please join the Willamette Writers’ Salem Chapter as we kick off the 2024 – 2025 program year with our annual picnic at Woodmansee Park! Willamette Writers is a group of writers helping other writers. This meet-and-greet get-together is for members and is open to anyone interested in learning more about the organization. If you love to write, join us! We encourage everyone to bring a friend. Join us on Saturday, September 14th from 10 AM – 2 PM. (It is not necessary to attend the entire time.) Bring a lunch and something to drink.

The chapter’s co-chairs, Kathy Saviers and Bridget Good, will have copies of the Timberline Review available for purchase. Used books related to learning the craft of writing will also be available to purchase. Proceeds will go to support Willamette Writers programming throughout the year.

Do you have books on writing (editing, character development, story structure, world-building, etc.) taking up space on your shelf, books that you’ve read and are done with? Bring them to the sale so others can learn from them! Books will be inexpensive. Sales will be cash only and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Bring small bills if possible. We can’t wait to see you there! 

About Your Chapter Meeting

Willamette Writers meetings are free and open to all writers, 18 and up. Guests are welcome to make a donation at https://willamettewriters.org/donations/ to help support the cost of the meetings. Willamette Writers continue to encourage mask-wearing at our in-person, indoor meetings. If you feel sick, please stay home and join us at one of our online Chapter Meetings.

Young Writers
