Hazel Denheart will present a brief overview of her Universal Grammar of Story: the three primal forces drawing each writer into their stories, the role of emotional and intuitive thinking in writing, the core theories of structure and timing, and the role of mythology in stories.
About Hazel Denhart
Dr. Hazel Denheart is a lively university lecturer, researcher, and author who began developing The Universal Grammar of Story in the 1990s for her master’s thesis. She has since refined and tested this unique storytelling method across a wide range of writers in the US, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. She is also a playwright, screenwriter, and formerly a print and television journalist. Her groundbreaking scholarly work on dyslexia, as well as her work on the humanitarian response to Hurricane Katrina, is widely cited in the scientific literature.
