Willamette Writers Corvallis Online Presents

Performance Poetry 101: Reading Poetry (and Prose) like a Pro with SETH

Learn to master the fundamentals of reciting poetry (and prose) and engaging an audience. The Corvallis Chapter of Willamette Writers features an online presentation by SETH, one of Colorado’s best-known performance poets, on Monday, November 28, 2022, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM ONLINE. Free and open to the public. Zoom details below.

SETH will give tips on pulling your listener in and strategies to hold their attention through to the end of any open mic or featured reading. This workshop will offer practical techniques to hone your presentation skills, win over your audience, and deliver text so as to keep your listener engaged from start to finish. You’ll also hear suggestions on how to take performance poetry to the next level.
