Accuracy is second only to a great story, especially in historical fiction. Author Ashley Sweeney will address the importance of accuracy in writing historical fiction and offer multiple resources for authors to use in research in this lively, interactive lecture.

This presentation is not just for historical fiction authors! Writers of all stripes will learn how to improve their stories with Sweeney’s tips and tricks.

About Ashley Sweeney

Ashley Sweeney is a graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, Mass. and City University of Seattle. As a seasoned journalist, teacher, and community activist, Sweeney served as a VISTA volunteer after college and remains active in Soroptimist International, one of the largest women’s advocacy groups in the world. Her debut novel, Eliza Waite, is a winner of the Nancy Pearl Book Award and a finalist for the Sarton Womens Book Award and WILLA Literary Award, among other awards. She splits her time between La Conner, Washington and Tucson, Arizona.
