Central Point: Building a Writing Life with Kate Ristau
September 15, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
Your kitchen is a mess. You just got your third rejection of the week. You can’t find your laptop. You have no idea what to do in the next scene.
There are 12,000 reasons we don’t write, but in this meeting, we are going to consider how we can find the passion, joy, and focus we need to build a positive and productive writing life.
Building a Writing Life
Join Kate Ristau, Willamette Writers’ Executive Manager, for a discussion of how to build a writing life. She will discuss her experience as an author and working with authors, considering how you can find the support that you need to keep writing. She’ll also offer tools from her own toolbox for blasting through writer’s block and sitting down at your desk with joy.
In the afternoon we will be hosting a panel with Not a Pipe Publishing about the writing life after publishing.
The morning session runs from 10:00 till 12:00 and the afternoon session runs from 1:30 to 3:30. Special pricing for the afternoon session is $20.00.
Come ready to learn, share, and build your best writing life!
