Writers on the River – April Meeting with Steve Jones on Flash Fiction

Steve Jones will speak at Writers on the River in Corvallis on Monday, April 15, 2013Our April meeting with Steve Jones about flash-fiction is coming up in a week.

Steve Jones is the founder of the Oregon Writing Project at Willamette University. He directed this program for sixteen years and is now semi-retired as co-director. A veteran teacher in the public schools, he teaches writing and poetry workshops and coaches OSU student teachers. He infuses these activities with a sense of play, walking and biking 20,000 steps per day, and chasing rooster tails across the green at dawn with whomever he can muster as a golfing partner. Mid-summer, you can join him for the graduate level poetry intensive at Willamette University.

Please remember to bring a pen and a notebook – we’re going to use them.

As always, we meet at Dennis Hall at the First Presbyterian Church (114 SW 8th St., Corvallis, OR 97333) from 6:30-8:00 PM. Our monthly meetings are free and open to the public.
