Chance Encounters: Travel Tales from Around the WorldC. Lill Ahrens’ true story “A Simple System” is published in the anthology Chance Encounters: Travel Tales From Around the World. Janna Graber, editor. (World Traveler Press, Dec. 2014). The story was first published in The Best Women’s Travel Writing 2008 (Travelers Tales), and is an excerpt from Lill’s memoir, Thirty Miles South of North Korea, There’s No Place Like Where?: A Timeless Travel-Disaster Memoir in a Culture That No Longer Exists (formerly known as Seoul Survivor). Lill just started submitting the book manuscript to publishers.

Lill is the contest director for Oregon Writers Colony, an editor for Calyx Journal, instructor of The Writers’ Workroom for LBCC (Benton Center), a book doctor, editorial consultant and writer’s coach, with award-winning and published students and clients.
