Producing your own Audiobook

Date:
Sunday, August 6
Time:
10:00 am - 11:30 am
Cascade B

So you’ve self-published your novel. Or you’ve trad published your novel but retained audio rights. Maybe your fans are writing you, wanting to know how they can listen to your book. Or you’re ready to reach a whole new segment of fans. Time to exercise those audio rights! It’s an entirely new world for most authors. Do you want to narrate a book or memoir yourself? You’ll need some equipment and vocal techniques! Or perhaps you’d rather hire someone. But how do you find someone good? And either way, where do you list your audiobook once it’s done? Tina Connolly, current co-host of Escape Pod, has been narrating for almost a decade. With experience on both sides of the table—author and narrator—she can answer your questions and coach your performance. She’ll cover everything from start to finish about producing your audiobook, including technical tips and in-class coaching on vocal techniques. Come prepared to learn and have fun.
