Find out how to captivate your readers with exciting language, active sentences, voice, and most importantly being able to answer the question, So what?

Ruth Musgrave

Ruth A. Musgrave is an award-winning children’s nonfiction writer known for her entertaining and creative approach. Ruth is the author of 14 books including Mission Shark RescueBirds, Big CatsLook Outside! and In My Garden all for National Geographic Children’s Books. Ruth is also the contributing writer for National Geographic Little Kids Magazine (preschool) and for more than a decade has been a frequent contributor to National Geographic Kids Magazine (middle grade). Ruth’s articles have also been in other children’s publications such as Scientific American Explorations, Scholastic’s SuperScience, Click, and Ask. Ruth estimates that during the last decade she has researched and written about more than 450 animals for 100+ published articles and projects.

When not writing, Ruth revels in the beauty of the Oregon wilderness hiking, kayaking, whale watching, or just enjoying the rain with her husband, daughter, and dogs.
