Magic of Plotting
Don’t leave your novel’s plot to trial and error. In this workshop, veteran teacher and author Kay Kenyon shares classic approaches to plotting and structure while suggesting ways to plumb the magic within: our creativity. Kay will focus on initial inspiration and the powerful tools of mystery, surprise, originality, conflict, momentum, and transformation.
Kay Kenyon has written fifteen science fiction and fantasy novels through small, medium and major publishers, most recently with Simon and Schuster/Saga Press. Two of her series have garnered repeat starred reviews in Publishers Weekly: The Dark Talent Novels and The Entire and the Rose. The former is alternate history fantasy and the latter, a science fiction epic. Although she primarily write novels, she has a dozen short stories published in anthologies and recently, a collection. She is a founding member of the Write on the River organization in Wenatchee WA, which is now in its twelfth year.
